Easiest Legal Way to Go to Europe from Pakistan

By Ali Baba Travel Advisor9 October 2026 7 min read

Many people ask for the easy way to go to Europe from Pakistan. The honest answer is that there is no shortcut: every legal route needs a visa decided by an embassy, and every route has conditions. What you can do is choose the route that fits your situation and prepare it properly. This guide explains the main legal options and which one is realistic for whom.

Route 1: Visit or tourist visa (the simplest)

A Schengen visit visa lets you travel for a short stay of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. It is the easiest route to start with and the right choice for tourism, visiting friends or family, and attending events. It does not allow you to work or settle. You apply through the country where you will spend the most nights, and the consulate looks at your trip plan, your funds and your ties to Pakistan. A first application with a clear plan and consistent documents has the best chance.

Route 2: Study visa

If you want to stay longer, studying is a genuine route. You need an admission offer from a recognised institution, proof that you can pay tuition and living costs, and, for many programmes, language or academic requirements. Study visas are decided by the country you will study in, and each has its own financial rules. Choose the course and the university first; the visa follows from a real study plan.

Route 3: Skilled work visas

Several European countries run schemes for skilled workers, for example national skilled-worker visas, the EU Blue Card for highly qualified professionals, and job-seeker or points-based schemes in some countries. These usually need a recognised qualification, relevant experience and often a job offer and language skills. They are demanding, and the rules change, so check the immigration authority of the country you target before spending money.

Route 4: Family routes

If a close family member lives in Europe legally, a family reunion visa may be possible, with its own proof of relationship and income requirements. This is decided strictly by the host country's rules.

Warnings you should take seriously

Never pay anyone who promises a guaranteed visa or a guaranteed job, because nobody can guarantee a decision. Avoid illegal routes and agents who offer to move you without a visa; people have lost money, been detained and lost their lives on these journeys. A visa application containing fake documents can lead to refusal and a long-term ban, which makes a later genuine application harder.

Choosing the right route

Ask three questions: how long do you want to stay, what do you plan to do there, and what can you prove with documents? A visit visa fits a short trip; study fits a real course; skilled work fits a qualified professional with an offer. Ali Baba Travel Advisor can review your profile and tell you honestly which route is realistic, but visa decisions are made only by the embassy and no outcome is guaranteed.
