New Zealand Visit Visa for Pakistanis: Step by Step

By Ali Baba Travel Advisor9 October 2026 6 min read

New Zealand is a favourite for nature, families and honeymoons. Pakistani passport holders apply for a visitor visa through Immigration New Zealand (INZ). Rules, fees and requirements change, so always confirm on the INZ website before applying.

How to apply

Visitor visa applications are normally made online through INZ. You create an online account, fill in the form, upload documents and pay the fee. You may be asked for biometrics or additional documents after you submit. Keep your documents clear and complete, because missing items slow the decision.

What INZ looks for

Immigration officers look at three things: that you are genuinely visiting for a short time, that you can pay for the trip, and that you will return home. Your documents should support each of these.

Documents commonly prepared

A valid passport. A day-by-day itinerary and accommodation details. Bank statements and income proof. Employment or business documents. Proof of family and other ties to Pakistan. A letter of invitation if you are visiting someone. Travel history, if you have it, can help. INZ publishes guidance on the funds expected per month of stay, so check the current figure.

Planning your trip

Ten days covers highlights of both islands: Auckland, Rotorua, Queenstown and Milford Sound. December to March is summer; June to August suits skiing.

Mistakes to avoid

Do not submit documents you cannot explain, avoid last-minute deposits, and keep your itinerary realistic for your budget.

Ali Baba Travel Advisor reviews New Zealand visa files and can plan the trip with Australia or Singapore. INZ decides every application, and approval is never guaranteed.
