Thailand Visa for Pakistanis: How to Apply

By Ali Baba Travel Advisor9 October 2026 5 min read

Thailand is one of the most popular short trips from Pakistan, with Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket within easy reach. A Pakistani passport holder needs a visa, so start with the official source. Entry rules and the application method can change, so confirm on the official Thai e-Visa portal or the Royal Thai Embassy website.

Where to apply

Tourist visas are generally applied for either through Thailand's online e-Visa system or through the embassy, depending on current rules. Use only the official website; copycat sites charge extra and may not be genuine.

Documents usually requested

A passport valid for at least six months with blank pages. A recent photograph. Bank statements showing enough funds for your trip. Proof of employment or business. A return flight booking and hotel bookings that match your itinerary. Travel insurance is also recommended. Follow the official checklist, because requirements differ by application type.

Planning the trip

Five to seven days is enough for Bangkok and Pattaya, or Phuket and Krabi for beaches. November to February is cool and dry; June to October has rain but lower prices. Keep your hotel and flight dates identical to those in your application.

Avoiding mistakes

Apply with enough time, do not use fake bookings, and keep documents consistent. If your application is refused, read the reason before you reapply.

Ali Baba Travel Advisor offers Thailand packages and a four-country group tour that includes Thailand, with visa support. The visa decision belongs to the Thai authorities and is never guaranteed.
